Read an interesting article in the Catalyst for this month. The Gift of Vulnerability by Jeannette Maw. A Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, a Dr. Brene' Brown has done research about being vulnerable and how shame prevents you from being vulnerable therefore connected. If you get a chance read the article.
It was really interesting to me, because I had an experience recently about shame. It does usually boil down to not feeling good enough, which about summed up what I was feeling. I could from my own experience see how this has prevented me from opening up to my vulnerable self, and not connecting in my own life. In this point in time it is necessary that we find these pieces of self so that we can get them healed so that we are free to move forward. Move into the new way of being into. Letting go of our self that no longer works for us and embrace this new you. So at this point many of us are looking at who are we REALLY! We reach these pivotal points in our live where we have opportunities to reinvent our selves.
In October I was to an Energy Kinesiology Convention, at the convention there was a lecture that was given by Carol Tuttle about being who we truly are. She has devised a system using four energy types and said most of us fight who we really are. That we all carry parts of the four energy types but that we do have a dominate type, but many actually are living life being their secondary type. It is an interesting premise and I could see that many of us, myself included are not living as our dominate type. If you get a chance get her book and see what type you are. I felt from this lecture that she is really on to something. We are all on the road to the who are we REALLY path and this may help aid in our own discovery. One of her books is called It's My Nature! by Carol Tuttle.
It is interesting how so many articles I have read this month is all about leading a purposeful life and how so many of us are finding how lost we are feeling.
So as we move into the powerful year of 2011, maybe we can all move more into consciousness, awareness of what beautiful beings we really are.
Blessing to all in this coming year.....

Light and Shadow
Living in light and shadow. I think we are much like this picture that we have parts of our life the are like the light, we see it and we are conscious of it and we for the most part can deal with what it is. The other part of us is the shadow, the unconscious the part of ourselves we can't quite identify, we know something is there but not what it is specifically. The work that I do with Energy Kinesiology is much about finding this shadow self, this part of ourselves that is on a subconscious level but motivates much what we do. I liken to reweaving our life tapestry. The beauty of this work is that one can go into the Central Nervous System and remove a block that stress in ones life has created. It then opens the door to a new pathway/pattern. The Chinese really knew what they were doing when they discovered the acupressure system, that makes it possible just by holding meridian points to bring a body back into balance. The balance of Yin/Yang. It is my wish that everyone has an opportunity to experience this modality. It is so gentle, you don't have to take your clothes off, just your shoes. How easy is that. You just lay on the Massage Table and I do all the work. It really sets you free when you can bring what is in shadow into the light.

Reflecting
I see so many images in this photograph. It gives me a sense of relecting into the many meanings we may find in our lives. It has been a long time since I posted on the blog. Like the ripples in the water, the ripples of change seems to be taking place in my life. We all seem to be making changes, can you sense it...transitions, not longer accepting things that we use to.
I had my first real massage the other day, yes, I know how strange for someone that has been in Alternative approaches to health but it's true. It was interesting because we don't always realize how much tension and stress our bodies are holding. I know from the view I have with people that I have as clients as a Energy Kinesiologist. I was surprised at how many blockages that my Massage Therapist found. None of us are exempt to holding the stress. It was a good lesson and experience, even though I thought I was dealing with things just fine. It illustrated to me of how important it is to take care of yourself. Go to your Energy Kinesiologist or Massage Therapist regularly just for tune ups that your body needs. Your body is your receptor of all things in your environment, it needs to be taken care of.
So many of us get so busy with our lives that we forget about the most important thing, taking care of self. We take care of ourselves and our body will take care of us. Be healthy on all levels....physical, mental, spiritual.
Breath life into everyday. It reminds me of a saying...to me it has much humor, have no idea who wrote it, but here it is.....
"Powerful Women's Motto:
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders and says...." Oh sh--she's awake!!!
Have a beautiful day!
